Get thee to Sausalito for The Sausalito Woman’s Club Preservation Society's Harvest Festival & Market on Saturday,
September 27th,
from 3-7 PM.
The usually private and historic landmark clubhouse in
Sausalito (120 Central Avenue) plays host for the event. $40 gets you in the door; proceeds
to benefit the Sausalito Woman’s Club Preservation Society,
a nonprofit organization.
The Harvest Festival is a celebration of the Bay Area’s regional bounty and
features professional culinary demonstrations by Williams Sonoma, as well
as local artisan food purveyors and vintners (McEvoy Ranch Bath Products,
California Caviar, Drivers Market, Amphora Nueva Olive Oil, Madrigal Winery and
Roastco Coffee to name just a few) who will be offering samples of their wares
and favorite delicacies for purchase.
There will also be a small art show at the event showcasing the
work of numerous well-known California artists, as well as a silent auction and
a “Preservation Pantry” with enchanting gifts for purchase.
Francesca Lee will perform; appetizers, wine and other
refreshments will be
available.
The festival is a fundraiser for the Sausalito Woman’s Club Preservation Society
which was established in 1990 for the preservation of the historic
landmark clubhouse that is almost 100 years old. Designed by Julia Morgan, the
building was an America Institute of Architects Gold Medal Winner in
2014.
The price per person is $40; advance ticket purchase is
recommended.
